Green Peas/mutter masala



Green peas                                1 large cup (soaked)
Onion                                         1 nos
Ginger                                        small piece
Garlic                                         3 cloves
Garam masala                           ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves                        2 tsp
Oil
Salt

For grinding:
Coconut                                      ¼ cup
Red chilly powder                       ½ tsp
Turmeric powder                        ¼ tsp
Fennel seeds                               ¼ tsp
water
Method:
  • First wash the green peas ant then soak it in water for about 5-6 hours or overnight and then pressure by adding 2 cups of water and salt for about 3-5 whistles.
  • Grind the coconut, red chilly powder, fennel seeds turmeric powder to a paste
  • Add the paste to the cooked green peas(water as req) let it boil for 3 mins
  • Heat oil in another pan add ginger, garlic and onion and sauté till the onions turn brown in color. Pour this seasoned mixture into the green peas curry.
  • Then add the garam masala powder and mix well.
  • Garnish with the chopped coriander leaves.
